More information: I'm using SUSE 7.0, kernel 2.2.16. It seems USB is
working but scanimage from sane version 1.0.3 is not working. How can I
fix this?

reesie local/bin# ./scanimage -L

I'm trying to at least, but havn't gotten there yet. Here's what I CAN do:

/home/magreen> cat /proc/bus/usb/devices

Unfortunately, when I try to scan, nothing happens. Here's what I did:

 ./scanimage -L

This is what shows up in the /var/log/messages file:

What do I need to do?
