Hello Everyone,

I recently bought the D-Link DSB-C300 camera to get a web cam going.
Unfortunately, I am unable to get it to work. I was hoping someone
on the list may have gotten this to work.

System: Debian GNU/Linux
Kernel: 2.4.9
USB Type: UHCI
Motherboard: Asus P2B-D
Processors: 2 x Pentium II 333mHz

After loading either the uhci or usb-uhci driver, I get the output below,
scrolling forever in my messages file. It occurs with both of the uhci
drivers.

Here is the output from /var/log/messages:
Sep 2 20:09:17 topeka kernel: usb.c: registered new driver usbdevfs

Sep 2 20:09:48 topeka kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/2,

...

It goes all of the way up to device number 124 and then loops back to 2.
The ov511 driver is supposed to work with this device, however, it seems
the camera can't even negotiate a connection with the usb driver.

Any idea what I should try to get this to work?

Thanks in advance for any help,

julian
