I've just recently bought a HP Laserjet 1200, which is a very nice printer, at least in windows.... Because I don't seem to be able to get it to work under linux.... As I indicated in the subject it is connected via a USB cable. So the question is now how I get to work.....???? I have insatlled USB support into the kernel (2.4.7 on Debian Woody), both USB-support and USB-Printer support, and I tried to install some USB utils (usbmgr, usbview, usb-utils), and i can via usbview see that my printer is connected to the usb port. I tried with some different printing tools, but none of them seem to know anything of my printer....So if anyone would give me a tutorial of how to set up a printer or if anyone could direct me to a homepage where it is explained in english???????
