Is it generaly possible to attach / mount the Monolta Dimage 7 via the
usb-storage modul?
Everything seams to be o.k. The System (Slackw. 8, Kernl. 2.4.7)
recognize the Camera under
/proc/scsi/usb-storage-0/1 as:
Host scsi1: usb-storage
Vendor: MINOLTA DIMAGE CAMERA
Product: DIMAGE CAMERA
Serial Number: None
Protocol: Transparent SCSI
Transport: Bulk
GUID: 068640060000000000000000
Under /proc/scsi/scsi :
Attached devices:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 01 Lun: 00
Vendor: YAMAHA Model: CRW6416S Rev: 1.0b
Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: MINOLTA Model: DIMAGE CAMERA Rev: 1.00
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
When I mount the device whith:
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/dimage -t msdos (or even vfat)
or cfdisk /dev/sda
the camera disconnects.
/var/log/messages says:
hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/2, assigned device number 4
Sep 19 11:16:45 onyx kernel: Manufacturer: MINOLTA DIMAGE CAMERA
Sep 19 11:16:45 onyx kernel: Product: DIMAGE CAMERA
Sep 19 11:16:58 onyx kernel: usb.c: USB disconnect on device 4
Sep 19 11:16:58 onyx kernel: Device not ready. Make sure there is a
disc in the drive.
Sep 19 11:16:58 onyx kernel: Device 08:00 not ready.
I had enabeled the advanced debug options for the usb-storage modul,
but for me it is not right readable. ;-)
Hope for help.
