(I'm posting this from a mail-to-news gateway so I hope this works) Indeed, the 'b000' devices do not work with the existing Datafab driver. They actually appear to be real SCSI-over-USB devices instead of Datafab's older ATA-like devices. As such, there's no way the existing Datafab driver can work with these guys. In fact, the usb-storage module detects 'b000' readers as SCSI devices and not "Datafab" devices (and therefore doesn't even try to invoke the Datafab driver). But obviously usb-storage's existing transparent SCSI protocol is not quite compatible and things go downhill from there. I don't have one of these readers so I'm probably not going to be able to make much progress in supporting them. Anybody know of a place where I can buy one for $CHEAP?
