I'm using a Sandisk ImageMate II (Ref. SDDR 31) to read my CF cards via
the USB Bus.

It works but not on any hardware. It never worked correctly on my main PC
with a VIA chipset (VIA 686B southbridge) and I've done a lot of tests with
various kernels and compilation options. It is recognised but always hangs
the USB bus when reading data from it.

It is not clear if the problem come from usb-storage or from the VIA USB
controler support in usb-uhci or uhci...

I've posted some questions in linux-usb-users ML but never had any response.

It works perfectly on an older PC with a Intel 440 LX chipset. It is directly
recognized during installation of recent Linux distributions (RH 7.2) and is
as easy to use as a Zip drive.

I can read data from my CF cards at a speed between 700 and 800 KBytes/s
(less than 3 minutes to retrieve the content of a full 128 MB CF Card).
