Hi,
>From what I've read, the Microtek X6 USB scanner should work with 2.4.7
(RH7.2). However, I've not had any succcess with it yet. Any help would be
appreciated.
When connected, the scanner is recognized. From /var/log/messages:
hub.c: USB new device connect on bus2/1, assigned device number 5
microtek usb (rev 0.4.3): model Scanmaker X6 is not known to be
fully supported, reports welcome!
scsi1 : microtekX6
Vendor: Model: Scanner 636A4 Rev: 1.21
Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 02
And from /proc/bus/usb/devices:

It looks like the correct modules may be loaded (I'm not sure). lsmod shows:

Another USB device, a Kodak digital camera does work correctly with this box,
so the hardware itself and some portion of the software is working. Yet,
'scanimage -L' does not find the scanner. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike
