in newer Kernel versions (>=2.4.10) I see trouble with some devices
attached to my uhci controller. When compiling a bug report, I found in
the FAQ that it was a helpful information if interrupts are generated
every second.
This is what does not happen here: After connecting a certain device, the
according number in /proc/interrupts freezes (and devices do not work any
longer).
I guess you'd prefer not to be bothered with long log files, /proc/foo/bar
dumps and vague error descriptions. And I'd like to avoid writing long
message about the problems, too.
So: Given the information above, is there anything more I can check on my
own? google didn't help me much about this. Or, more likely, I didn't use
the right words to search.
