Ok, apparently I have no idea how to run ksymopps.  I ran for a while
until it was killed due to being run out of memory.

Anyway, it's obvious that mgetty is doing something that the edgeport
driver doesn't expect.  All I have to do is try to get mgetty to answer
the phone to HARD lock the machine.  Any ideas?  I've tried looking
through the mgetty source code a bit to see if I can see anything
obvious, but this will take a while.

Hoping for some hints / ideas!!
