Please let me know if this is not the right place for this type of
question.

I am trying to get my Olympus D150-Z camera to work as a mass storage
device. When I plug the camera in to the USB cable supplied by Olympus, I
can see the following data in /proc/scsi/usb-storage-0.

   Host scsi0: usb-storage
       Vendor: OLYMPUS
      Product: C-1Z,D-150Z
Serial Number: 102015805
     Protocol: Transparent SCSI
    Transport: Bulk
         GUID: 07b401020000000102015805
     Attached: 1

I am trying to figure out how to mount this as a scsi device. When I try
to do so I get the message:

[root@david1 dev]# mount /dev/sda /mnt/camera
mount: /dev/sda: unknown device

I am using kernel 2.4.9-21.

I can find very little definitive information.

Can this work at all? What am I doing wrong??

Thanks in advance. Your help is greatly appreciated.
