With b), yes. But I am using it with an UHCI controller, so I am only getting 12Mb/s xfer speed. It is sort of working, but there are some instabillity issues still. I hope they can be resolved though. The external USB 2.0 5.25" HDD case I have is a LaCie 80GB disk.
