I am having problems with an ISD 200 USB to ATA (IDE) adaptor.

I have a 60Gig HDD in the adaptor and am currently trying to work out why it
is failing. I am scouring my log files and trying to beef up debugging a bit
but I'm a bit new to all of this.

The messages I am curious about are

/etc/hotplug/usb.agent: ... no drivers for USB product 5ab/31/110
kernel: rage: usb_stor_bulk_msg() returned 0 xferred 8/8

I have only got a couple of the kernel: rage messages but after a certain
amount of time I get alot of the no drivers for USB product 5ab. I don't get
this message when I first activate the Skymaster DEL-0241 USB to ATA (IDE)

Eventually the drive cannot be written to or read from and it even gets
removed from /proc/bus/usb/devices.

I am starting to go through various configurations to eliminate equipment or
software that could be causing this.

One of my suspicions at the moment is that this seems to happen when vmware
is running with USB active. More testing is required and I need to unplug
more USB.

If somebody can give me any hints as to what is going on that would be most
appreciated.
