Err.  Okay.  That was part of the original problem, though.  The only 
interrupts I ever got (it seems) were from that Schedule Overrun error.  
I'll try a few combinations.  I'll turn on ACPI in BIOS and kernel.

"abject failure"  :)  Not just regular failure, but abject failure.  
That's no good.  :)

Are there any losses by not using APIC?  I'll try it on and off again too.

This is what I get for using a "Server" as my desktop.  ;)
