That's got to be one of the worst subject lines I've seen in a long time. > i tried the advice from here > http://www.ruault.com/Zaurus/ethernet-over-usb-howto.html
First suggestion: choose a driver name that doesn't instantly create needless confusion. "usbdnet" will always be confused with "usbnet". (Of course, the bulk of the driver structure is copied from "usbnet".) Second suggestion: why does this Zaurus even need a new driver? The Communications class interface shoulud work with CDCEther, and a direct Ethernet over USB interface should work with "usbnet". (It really wouldn't have been that hard to deliver this functionality as a patch against "usbnet"... there's already infrastructure for "device-specific" framing, such as for this FCS.) That's on top of the fact that according to the reports in this thread, "usbdnet" doesn't even work right on this device... fails to even bind to it. - Dave _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users
