Same thing happens to me. I have a VIA motherboard, exactly the same controllers, and I'm experiencing exactly the same problem with both USB-uhci and alternate UHCI driver. This is common to all 2.4.x kernels I tried... now I'm at 2.4.19-pre6! The result is that I cannot use the full HID support for my USB keyboard (compaq internet keyboard). The strange thing is that using the HIDBP driver eliminates every problem... or at least it gives me the possibility to press "normal"keys. Howtos say that it's not a good thing to have both HID and HIDBP modules loaded, but in this case it's the only possibility to have this keyboard working. I saw that this problem is even bigger than what it seems, because if i try to upgrade my linux with a newer version of redhat, the installation process doesn't recognize the keyboard so it's impossible for me to continue. thank you in advance for any ideas! ciao -- --------------------------------------------------- davide caratti [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------- get my PGP public key at http://space.tin.it/io/dcaratt/david_pgp_key.asc --------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users
