Hi, had the same problem with this otherwise great camera.
The problem is that Olympus did not implement the protocol correctly. I used the following solution: http://home.earthlink.net/~ebrombaugh/d150.html (its the only solution that allows U to connect to other USB-mass-media-storages after patching) The following page gives different solutions: http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/showdev.php?id=1196 Most solutions require a recompliation of the kernel, except the one changing a binary file with vi. A more elegant solution can be found here using the same method: http://software.jodda.de/camediac220.html Hope that helps, Sven -----Ursprungliche Nachricht----- Von: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]Im Auftrag von Martin Lillepuu Gesendet: Samstag, 13. I'ts correctly detected as usb-storage, but it fails to register as scsi device: scsi: device set offline - not ready or command retry failed after bus reset: host 1 channel 0 id 0 lun 0 Kernel version is 2..4.18 (suse 8.0 default), also tried with vanilla 2.4.19-rc1 on another computer, with same results. After connecting the camera, I'm able to unload usb-storage once but reloading it hangs the modprobe process (lsmod shows that usb-storage is in initializing state). I'm also using logitech optical wheel usb mouse and it works correctly. I verified that the camera is detected and works correctly as removable storage in windows xp on the same computer. Searching the mailinglist archives resulted finding few people with same problem but no solution.
