Hello everyone!
I am not really sure to which list should I direct this, so I hope nobody will get ballistic about the crosspost. ZyXEL Omni 56k USB ACM modem and wvdial 1.53 are involved. Modem works with minicom, which directs possible problems to wvdial but there is also a possibility that something in acm.o implementation of tty driver isn't conforming to standards... (usb-devel really, but I didnt' subscribed to it). log: --> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.53 --> Initializing modem. --> Sending: ATZ --> Sending: ATQ0 Q0 OK --> Re-Sending: ATZ ATZ OK --> Initializing modem. --> Sending: ATZ --> Sending: ATQ0 TQ0 OK --> Re-Sending: ATZ ATZ OK --> Initializing modem. --> Sending: ATZ --> Sending: ATQ0 Q0 OK --> Re-Sending: ATZ ATZ OK So wvdial experiences a timeout, tries to turn on long error codes and then receives an OK, I believe that resulting from ATZ. I have been searching on the net, on the usenet for a whole evening and can't find any solution to this problem. Only one reference on it on linux-usb.org. Please help! ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users
