I vaguely recall some issues with this modem - can't find the right links now, 
but I think it went something like:

* some reviewer said it worked with Linux (on zdnet, or something like that)

* people went out and bought them, and found it to be a winmodem (based on the 
SGS design, maybe?)

* turns out that DLink "value engineered" the modem, kept the same marketing 
name (or maybe just had a lot of cartons left over - no idea), and completely 
changed the functionality.

So maybe not all DSB-560s are the same.

Anyone else remember the detail?
