Do you have eveything compiled into the kernel that you need? USB HID support, your chipset (OHCI, UHCI, etc.), USB Mouse support, etc? I have a logitech wireless optical mouse and keyboard, and other than forgetting to compile a few things in, i've never had a problem.

Moved the desk and decided to try again -- it is recognized when both the ps/2 and usb mouses are connected during reboot but not when only the usb is connected. What might cause this, please? SuSE 8.0 or something in the Linux kernel? The fix?
