Ok, I'll try asking one more time. I can mount my SDDR-77 fine. I can see the directories and files. However, the image files are all corrupted when I view them. Tonight I tried a few more things
1. Copy jpg from Linux to the compact flash card 2. Repartition and reformat the card using mkfs.vfat in Linux. Copy images to the card from Linux and take pictures with my Nikon onto the card. In every case, the photos are corrupted--even the ones I copied over from Linux. If I unmount and then remount the card, the images are corrupted. So clearly there is something broken in Linux. The problem is, is it the filesystem layer or USB. I've asked a few times before, but have never gotten a response on how to troubleshoot the problem. If someone could _please_, _please_ give me some pointers, I'd appreciate it. I'm using RH8.0. In the past when I had a Mandrake system, I tried kernels 2.4.19 and possibly 2.4.20, but the problem still occurred.
