Basically, I can mount it and for a few minutes I can navigate through it and see its directory hierarchy, but then my machine freezes and I have to reboot.
I originally attached it to my Windows 2000 machine, so it has a vfat filesystem. Here's what I see in my log when it detects it:
Feb 21 10:52:32 UndeadWarrior kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:07.2-2, assigned address 2
Feb 21 10:52:32 UndeadWarrior kernel: Manufacturer: In-System Design
Feb 21 10:52:32 UndeadWarrior kernel: Product: USB Storage Adapter
Feb 21 10:52:32 UndeadWarrior kernel: SerialNumber: 5860185AA5E2FF3C
Feb 21 10:52:33 UndeadWarrior kernel: scsi1 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
Feb 21 10:52:33 UndeadWarrior kernel: Vendor: HITACHI_ Model: DK23DA-10 Rev: 00J3
Feb 21 10:52:33 UndeadWarrior kernel: Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Feb 21 10:52:33 UndeadWarrior kernel: Attached scsi disk sda at scsi1, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
Feb 21 10:52:33 UndeadWarrior kernel: SCSI device sda: 19640880 512-byte hdwr sectors (10056 MB)
Feb 21 10:52:33 UndeadWarrior kernel: sda:<7>usb-storage: queuecommand() calledFeb 21 10:52:33 UndeadWarrior kernel: sda1
I noticed that the Vendor is different than yours. I don't know if that makes a difference.
I'm using "usbmgr", and my fstab entry looks like this: /dev/sda1 /ArchosJukebox auto defaults,user,noauto 0 0
I'm a C programmer, and am comfortable messing around with my kernel, if that would help troubleshoot this. Any help would be appreciated!
