Hi there... I tried to get a logitech driving force wheel working on linux (2.4.20-ac2). It almost does. There is only one problem: the wheel does support split axis (break/accel on one axis each), but the driver only recognises break/accel on one axis (1) and accel only on another (4). theres no break only axis recognized by the driver.
Its driven by the hid driver and recognized, the same problem exists with a logitech wingman wheel. Are there ways to configuer the drivers to set split axis for the wheels, or any other ways to get it work I tried allready to cheat the driver by modifiying the joydev module source so it puts breaking events on an axis which are calculated by the two values available (break+accel and accel only). It worked so far (more or less) but as soon as i tried to correct the values (which i didnt for tests) again with joydev_correct() everything got break up (i dont understand what this function does, mayby someone could explain to me?). I hope anyone understands what i tried to explain with my bad english... thanx Heiko Irrgang ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Etnus, makers of TotalView, The debugger for complex code.
