Last weekend, I spent quite a while trying to get my Debian testing
system to recognize my Palm Zire and sync with it. I'm running the
2.4.20-k7 Debian kernel which recognizes the Zire and loads the visor.o
module. But, shortly after attempting to use coldsync, i get a kernel
"oops" which leaves the system completely unstable. After a few
commands, the system freezes complete.
I've found lots of references to the Zire ID being added to 2.4.20, but
not much evidence that anyone is actually using it. Can anyone confirm
that the Zire does indeed work with 2.4.20? If it does, it will help
considerably in investigating the cause of my problem.
Thanks,
-chuck
