I recently tried to use a perfectly working USB device (msi k7t
silicon) card with uhci also. Printer worked, scanner worked, usb-storage
with some usb-stick locked my kernel 2.4.21-rc1/rc3 hard (ok, so I didn't
check the networking, but at least the IO/graphics was f'd up). Removing
the device did not help.

The above message is all I saw at the terminal. Logs were not synched, so
I have no way of saying what happened exactly other than the "tail -f
syslog" that I saw in the terminal. Maybe it's the msi hardware itself but
that would be weird, since the printer and scanner work fine. Never saw an
OOPS or anything.

I had a NEC usb 2.0 card lying around (OHCI) and it did work. Any thoughts
on this?
