I saw no problem in /proc/bus/usb/devices - but I will put here its contents
just in case.
I don't think my problem is in the driver, because the problem is that the
printer's not responding at all. (I think if it was a driver problem, I would
still hear some action from the printer).
The light is on, and the printer is detected in the /proc/bus/usb/devices, and
when I plug it in and out I see a message in dmesg regarding it, but that's
about it ...
In any case, as I mentioned, I have already tried installing the driver for
both cups and lpd - with no success (both couldn't print).
P.S.
Should the echo "hello" > /dev/usb/lp0 work ? or does the hp 3420 has special
codes that should be sent to it before it prints ?
