Greetings, I'm trying to boot from my USB flash with a small linux distribution (LFS) but I'm having problems mounting the root filesystem. I verified to accomplish the requirements to boot from the USB:
1-BIOS Support to boot from USB 2-Kernel support for USB Storage (including SCSI) 3-A patch to delay boot process However, I'm getting not a real kernel panic rather a message in *every second* trying to mount the root filesystem (->patch stuff). So, I think the problem is beyond the patch itself. It should be something else... initrd image? Anyone has an idea about my mistake? I'm using kernel 2.4.21 (+ patch in init/do_mount.c). If needed I can supply here my initrd and/or my linuxrc of initrd image. thanks, Pedro Salazar. -- PS [EMAIL PROTECTED] PGP:0E129E31D803BC61 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
