I don't think it is... at least not in the software. Have you made the same lists with the 2.4.21 kernel? I'm sure you'll see some interesting differences which might lead you to a solution. What does it say when you run 2.4.21? Have you upgraded all the things you need to upgrade according to the 2.5 docs?
