Perhaps you already know this, but I'll pass it along anyway. I thought I had solved my probelm with hotpluging. Apparently not as the the problem has persisted intermttantly. After some poking around on the web, I discovered that the applications provided on the original SuSE 7.3 DVDROM had been updated on the web at this location ftp://mirror.mcs.anl.gov/pub/ftp.suse.com/i386/7.3/suse/
but not at this location ftp://mirror.mcs.anl.gov/pub/ftp.suse.com/i386/update/7.3 That is they were NOT at the UPDATE location. As I typically have searched for updates at the second URL I assumed no changes had been made. The following packages were found: hotplug-2001_04_24-47.rpm usbutils-0.8-23.rpm as well as one you would not be particularly interested in hdparm-4.1-20.rpm After downloading and installing these two accessing the flash drive is as easy as accessing a floppy. One other problem I have experienced, which may be particular to SuSE 7.3 is that with the Cruzer plugged in YaST freezes. I'm guessing it must be due to the original hotplugging application bugs. That problem no longer exists due to the new applications. Sorry to bug you, but I wanted to pas this info along as it may be of use. Thanks again for the great work.
