I currently have a USB mouse and a USB printer connected on separate USB ports on my PC. When I am in run level 3 (console mode), the pritner works fine. However, when i go to run level 4 (X-windows), the printer start printing images that have bizarre color splashes and distorted images. I noticed that if I disable the mouse (with rmmod) that the printer works fine again.
Is there a known problem with using a USB mouse and USB printer together? I am using X-Windoes version 4.3.0. My /proc/bus/usb/devices output looks like:
