You should have looked at the Working Device List (linked from the front page of http://www.linux-usb.org/ ). Looks like you should return it.
http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/showdev.php?id=692 but there is a link there that sounds like it might work; http://www.madingley.org/james/minton2000/index.html (looks like a lot of hassle, so I'd return it and say it doesn't work well with Linux).
