Hello linux gurus!!

I am not sure whether this is the right place to ask the following question:

I am trying to install RedHat 9 on a new PC. In the bios I changed the boot sequence so that it boots from the USB CDROM. Then when I start the system it shows the initial boot prompt. When I enter at this place it goes up to the message

ehci-hcd 00:1d.7:USB 2.0 enabled, EHCI 1.00, driver 2003-Jan 22

and stays at this message.

I have no clue as to what is happening. Please let me know whether it is a known problem or something i am missing here.

I will really appreciate some help in this.
