Hello,
I have a new Epson Stylus Color 825 usb printer. According to various
howtos, this printer should work with the Linux kernel. However, I am
struck with the following dmesg error:
ohci_hcd 0000:00:07.4: urb cc76dbc0 path 1.1 ep0in 5ec20000 cc 5 -->
status -110drivers/usb/class/usblp.c:
usblp0: error -110 reading printer status
Here are some hopefully not random datapoints:
Kernel: Linux-2.6.3-rc3
Pertinant part of lspci -v:
00:07.4 USB Controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] AMD-756 [Viper] USB
(rev 06) (prog-if 10 [OHCI])
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 16, IRQ 11
Memory at ee000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K]
0:mercury:~# ls -al /dev/usb/lp0
crw-rw---- 1 root lp 180, 0 Dec 31 1969 /dev/usb/lp0
Printing works as expected with an Epson Stylus Color 820 on /dev/lp0
I am more than happy to provide a lsusb -v upon request.
Thank you very much in advance,
James
