Hello again
Can somebody tell me how I can find out if this USB-Serial Port based on Dual
16C550 compatible UART's is usable with a other driver or how I can get more
information from a driver.
How can I define a unkown Vendor und Product-ID to start a explisit Driver
like pl2303 or something else?
I hope this time can somebody help me.

Hello
I try to install a USB Serial Port from Moschip with a MCS7720 Chip but it
does not realy work!
So what I have done:
I use SuSE-Linux 9.0 with the kernel 2.4.21-144-default.
Other USB-Device like USB-Memorystick works.
So when I insert the cable into the USB I see the following message a the
/var/log/message:

is not claimed by any active driver.
And it does not configurate the UBS-Device like ttyUSB0 or ttyUSB1.
Then I have tried this:
insmod usbserial vendor=0x9710 product=0x7720
And in messagefile I saw this now:

Now I could open the device but I could not use them.
What it could be?
