Hi, neither laptop nor server has a serial interface.
I wonder: how well does a usb2serial adapter + nullmodem cable + serial2usb adapter work? Or is there a simpler one part solution? I already know, I won't see bootup messages on the serial adapter. Also, is there any problem (e.g. getty?) with plugging in the usb2serial adapter into the server only when needed?
