Hi all

I've problems installing the ov511 driver for my new Philips ToUcam II
(PCVC820K, should have an ov518 bridge and an OV6630 sensor).
I use Gentoo Linux with Kernel 2.4.26 (also tried 2.4.22). With the ov511-1.65
and ov511-2.27 drivers I get following errors:

1.65:
kernel: usb.c: registered new driver ov511
kernel: ov511.c: USB OV518 video device found
kernel: ov511.c: Device revision 1
kernel: ov511.c: Compression required with OV518...enabling
kernel: ov511.c: Can't determine sensor slave IDs
kernel: ov511.c: OV518 Config failed
kernel: ov511.c: Camera initialization failed

...there was no device for the camara created.

2.27
kernel: hub.c: new USB device 02:00.2-1.3, assigned address 10
kernel: ov511_core.c: USB OV518 video device found
kernel: ov511_core.c: Device revision 1
kernel: ov511_core.c: Compression required with OV518...enabling
kernel: i2c-core.o: adapter OV51x registered as adapter 0.
kernel: ov511_core.c: Device at usb-02:00.2-1.3 registered to minor 0

After starting i.e xawtv following message appears by accessing
to /dev/video0:

kernel: ov511_core.c: No sensor is detected yet

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Thank you in advance!

Michael
