These logs have been created on a HP Omnibook XE2 notebook when inserting a Mustek MDC 3500 digital camera, which is an usb-storage device. The kernel is 2.6.9, without acpi and with the noapic option at boottime. I tried it with 2.6.7 too, but it fails with similar messages, and it didn't work with a 2.4 kernel either. On other machines with other operating systems it worked fine. Is this some bug in the kernel, or something hardware error? Is it possible to correct it?
