Hi,

I'd like to connect two machines via USB. On
www.linux-usb.org/usbnet, David Brownell recommended Belkin USB
Direct Connect as one of the most reliable devices. But there are
some problems.

1. One of these two machines I'm going to connect is already part
of a network. Belkin says "It is not recommended to install USB
Direct Connect on a PC that is already connected to a network, as
the original network connections will be changed". I asked Belkin
for details or workarounds, but it failed to respond. Anybody knows
something about it?

2. USB Direct Connect seems to hard to get, since it is not
manufactured yet. Do you know where to buy it? I live in Germany.

3. Is there some newer alternative?

Thank in advance

Veronym
