Hi: I'm trying to get a BTC 9019URF keyboard to work on an Abit NF7-S motherboard. OS is KnoppMyth R5A12 (Debian Sarge, 2.6.9 custom kernel.)
The basic keyboard keys will work when I plug in the keyboard. However, if the keyboard is plugged in, the NIC card fails to get an IP address. The NIC card driver does load, but the card can't get an IP address. I assumed initially that this was some sort of resource conflict, but I'm not really sure. I noticed from the dmesg log that both the USB controller, and "LMAC" (NIC card?) are using IRQ10. If LMAC is indeed the NIC card, could this be the sign of a resource conflict? That would explain why I can have either an IP address or use of the keyboard, but not both, right? So far, I've tried all the different USB ports available. Ive also tried changing the Award BIOS settings to support USB 1.1/2.0 and just 2.0 I've also tried switching something called "USB 2.0 compatible", whatever that is. I've tried enabling an IRQ for USB and not enabling one. I'm a bit of a newbie to Linux, so I'll post what seems relevant. I'm used to solving resource conflicts in Windows, but not in Linux. Please let me know if there's anything else I should post. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm under a lot of pressure to get this working as quickly as possible. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- D M E S G RELEVANT CONTENTS: PCI: Using ACPI for IRQ routing ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LSMB] enabled at IRQ 7 ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:01.1[A] -> GSI 7 (level, low) -> IRQ 7 ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LUBA] enabled at IRQ 5 ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:02.0[A] -> GSI 5 (level, low) -> IRQ 5 ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LUBB] enabled at IRQ 10 ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:02.1[B] -> GSI 10 (level, low) -> IRQ 10 ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LMAC] enabled at IRQ 10 ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:04.0[A] -> GSI 10 (level, low) -> IRQ 10 ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LAPU] enabled at IRQ 3 ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:05.0[A] -> GSI 3 (level, low) -> IRQ 3 ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LACI] enabled at IRQ 7 ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:06.0[A] -> GSI 7 (level, low) -> IRQ 7 ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LFIR] enabled at IRQ 4 ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:0d.0[A] -> GSI 4 (level, low) -> IRQ 4 ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK4] enabled at IRQ 5 ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:01:07.0[A] -> GSI 5 (level, low) -> IRQ 5 ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK3] enabled at IRQ 11 ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:01:0b.0[A] -> GSI 11 (level, low) -> IRQ 11 ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:02:00.0[A] -> GSI 5 (level, low) -> IRQ 5 . . . usbcore: registered new driver usbfs usbcore: registered new driver hub USB Universal Host Controller Interface driver v2.2 ohci_hcd: 2004 Feb 02 USB 1.1 'Open' Host Controller (OHCI) Driver (PCI) ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:02.0[A] -> GSI 5 (level, low) -> IRQ 5 ohci_hcd 0000:00:02.0: nVidia Corporation nForce2 USB Controller PCI: Setting latency timer of device 0000:00:02.0 to 64 ohci_hcd 0000:00:02.0: irq 5, pci mem d0806000 ohci_hcd 0000:00:02.0: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 1 hub 1-0:1.0: USB hub found hub 1-0:1.0: 3 ports detected ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:02.1[B] -> GSI 10 (level, low) -> IRQ 10 ohci_hcd 0000:00:02.1: nVidia Corporation nForce2 USB Controller (#2) PCI: Setting latency timer of device 0000:00:02.1 to 64 ohci_hcd 0000:00:02.1: irq 10, pci mem d08e4000 ohci_hcd 0000:00:02.1: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 2 hub 2-0:1.0: USB hub found hub 2-0:1.0: 3 ports detected Initializing USB Mass Storage driver... usbcore: registered new driver usb-storage USB Mass Storage support registered. . . . input,hiddev96: USB HID v1.00 Mouse [BTC USB Multimedia Cordless Kit ] on usb usbcore: registered new driver usbhid drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: v2.0:USB HID core driver ================================================================= /PROC/INPUT/DEVICES CONTENTS: I: Bus=0003 Vendor=046e Product=5250 Version=0110 N: Name="BTC USB Multimedia Cordless Kit " P: Phys=usb-0000:00:02.0-1/input0 H: Handlers=kbd event2 B: EV=12000b B: KEY=10000 7 ff87207a c14057ff febeffdf ffefffff ffffffff fffffffe B: ABS=300 0 B: LED=1f I: Bus=0003 Vendor=046e Product=5250 Version=0110 N: Name="BTC USB Multimedia Cordless Kit " P: Phys=usb-0000:00:02.0-1/input1 H: Handlers=kbd mouse1 event3 js0 ts1 B: EV=10000f B: KEY=1fff ffffffff 0 0 107a d800c501 1e0000 0 0 0 B: REL=303 B: ABS=103 ===================================================================== /PROC/USB/DEVICES SHOWS: T: Bus=02 Lev=00 Prnt=00 Port=00 Cnt=00 Dev#= 1 Spd=12 MxCh= 3 B: Alloc= 0/900 us ( 0%), #Int= 0, #Iso= 0 D: Ver= 1.10 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS= 8 #Cfgs= 1 P: Vendor=0000 ProdID=0000 Rev= 2.06 S: Manufacturer=Linux 2.6.9-chw-4 ohci_hcd S: Product=nVidia Corporation nForce2 USB Controller (#2) S: SerialNumber=0000:00:02.1 C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=e0 MxPwr= 0mA I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 1 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=hub E: Ad=81(I) Atr=03(Int.)
