Control-C might work if you wait long enough.  But it could take tens of 
iterations through that 30-second loop.

Probably doing nothing, waiting for something to happen.

It might.  If you have drivers for the Cardbus interface and so on.  In 
the end you might find that the device doesn't work with Windows either.

I'll take your word for it that it shows the same thing -- getting hung up 
on a WRITE command.
