I just bought a NEC USB2 PCI card, to workaround the Via khubd hangs. I'd like to disable the onboard Via USB2 controller entirely, but my bios has no such option:-( How can I tell Linux to ignore/disable the device?
I'm using USB built into the kernel at present. The only option I found is nousb, but that turns everything off. I'm happy to build as modules but, at least in ehci-hcd, there seems to be no option to specify a PCI device explicitly...
