Hello,

I am using SuSE 10.2 (2.6.18.2 kernel) on a Lenovo/ IBM Thinkpad T60 with
an external modem. The modem is connected to the computer with a Keyspan
19HS USB-serial converter. This setup worked fine using the SuSE 10.1 OS
(which has a 2.6.16 kernel I think) but ceased to work when I upgraded my
OS to SuSE 10.2. I have been using wvdial to dial out (or I did anyway), I
know that all the hardware works...
Here is the kernel messages when I plug in the Keyspan:

All good, and here is the console output when I run wvdialconf which is
looking for a modem...
linux-cduo:/home/pnb # wvdialconf temp

Sorry, no modem was detected! ....

The lights on the modem blink during this process but it fails. I'm
looking for any leads in this as I don't know what to do. Thank you for
any help,
Paul
