Hello, I am using SuSE 10.2 (2.6.18.2 kernel) on a Lenovo/ IBM Thinkpad T60 with an external modem. The modem is connected to the computer with a Keyspan 19HS USB-serial converter. This setup worked fine using the SuSE 10.1 OS (which has a 2.6.16 kernel I think) but ceased to work when I upgraded my OS to SuSE 10.2. I have been using wvdial to dial out (or I did anyway), I know that all the hardware works... Here is the kernel messages when I plug in the Keyspan:

Port Scan<*1>: S0 S1 S2 S3 ttyS4<Info>: No such device or address Port Scan<*1>: S4 ttyS5<Info>: No such device or address Port Scan<*1>: S5 ttyS6<Info>: No such device or address Port Scan<*1>: S6 ttyS7<Info>: No such device or address Port Scan<*1>: S7 WvModem<*1>: Cannot get information for serial port. ttyUSB0<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- failed with 2400 baud, next try: 9600 baud ttyUSB0<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- failed with 9600 baud, next try: 115200 baud ttyUSB0<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- and failed too at 115200, giving up. Sorry, no modem was detected! .... The lights on the modem blink during this process but it fails. I'm looking for any leads in this as I don't know what to do.
