Can anyone help me with my problem of getting USB up on my linux box.
I have an Intell SE440BX-2 mother board with 2 USB ports.
I upgraded my kernel to 2.2.14 to use the usb-2.3.50-1-for-2.2.14 backport.
Kernel performs with no problem except for the usb capability. The only
BIOS selections available relative to USB is whether to enable or disable
Legace USB support. (I have tried both).
The problem is that /proc/bus/usb is empty. I have mounted it with fstab.
dmesg indicates that the USB bus and my only device (a printer) have been
identified. However, dmesg shows that usb-uhci-debug shows a "Link Terminate"
on three occaisions.
The dmesg log is shown below.
Thanks for any help.
