Before I go any further, be aware that there is
some USB code in 2.2.x, but it is not the currently
supported USB code. It has changed a lot since
last spring when that code was done.
To use USB under 2.2.14, you need to go to
http://www.suse.cz/development/usb-backport/
and download the backport patch, then apply
this patch to your kernel source tree.
What old /lib modules are you referring to in your
last question?
