Yes. The debug format we use on alpha that we inherited from OSF/1
can't deal with code outside .text at all, and so ordinarily helpful
linker messages aren't.

At present, I know of only two in use on Alphas. The one on
the UP1000 is the ALi M5237; the rest use the Contaq 82c693.
