Hi,

I'm not sure that we have support for this camera.
It depends on how the USB device presents itself
(its configuration) to the system.

You will need to use either 2.3.99-preX (recent
kernel) or the 2.2.14 backport patch from
www.suse.cz/development/usb-backport/ .

For USB installation and usage information, there is
a USB Guide available at http://linuxusbguide.sourceforge.net.

Both of these links are listed at the main linux-usb
web page (www.linux-usb.org).

After you have USB support in your kernel, you can
plug in your USB camera connection and some information
should be printed to the kernel log. Post that info
back to us so that we can see what USB device interface
it uses, or just try to use it as a mass storage device
by loading the usb-storage driver to see if the storage
driver recognizes it as a USB mass storage device.
Then we can advise you what to do next.

[Sony F505 camera info is available at www.sony.com
and search for F505.]
