I can't reproduce this problem (but then I don't have a K6).
I have an OCHI adapter (not in system chipset), but I can
modprobe usb-ohci and have it load successfully on 2.3.99-pre6-6.

Any other ideas out there?
Have you (re)built /lib/modules/2.3.99-pre6/modules.dep with
depmod?

What do you mean by "the dependency problem has been fixed with
usb-ohci in pre6-6"?
