I am still having trouble with IRQs in pre7-5. Someone on this
list (sorry, I can't find it in the archives) said they had this board
working, (Iwill Xa100plus, Aladdin V) and that it was likely related to
my BIOS settings. USB is enabled (functional under Win98), and I've
tried fiddling with Plug'n'Play settings, etc, but to no avail.
Would you mind sending me the settings you have in your BIOS? My
e-mail address is in my sig.
The problem, for anyone interested, seems to be that usb-ohci can't
find the correct interrupt. It occurs in modules and static kernels.
On insmod'ing usb-ochi I get in dmesg:
usb.c: registered new driver usbdevfs
usb.c: registered new driver hub
PCI: No IRQ known for interrupt pin A of device 00:02.0.
usb-ohci.c: USB OHCI at membase 0xc9845000, IRQ 0
usb-ohci.c: Acer Laboratories Inc. [ALi] M5237 USB
usb.c: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 1
usb-ohci.c: request interrupt 0 failed
usb.c: USB bus 1 deregistered
usb.c: deregistering driver usbdevfs
hub.c: usb_hub_thread exiting
usb.c: deregistering driver hub
