Wow... that was a really complete bug report... it's a nice change from
what most people send me.

Here are a few things:

(1) Having hte timestamps on the file would be nice... tho not strictly
necessary

(2) Try creating an unusual_devL_list entry for this device, and define
the flags to be US_FL_ALT_LENGTH

(3) The TEST_UNIT_READY command is actually working just fine.  It's the
INQUIRY which is failing to transfer status after the data stage.  I've
seen this type of behavior before from certain USB/SCSI bridge chipsets.
