There is emerging support for devices that use a chipset from Kawasaki.
Driver is not part of the kernel as of 2.3.99pre8.
Search the linux-usb mailing list archive for terms "kaweth", "kawasaki",
"netgear", and "3Com".
You'll find a message from me earlier this week that describes how I got a
3Com Ethernet<-->USB device to work using the kaweth driver. (Not stress
tested.)
