Any unusual system configuration? pre6 seems to be pretty stable in my
test machine (but pre[78] crash right away when loading usb-uhci). Also
8139too doesn't work in pre8.

No changes in the interface. You may want to try my latest patch (available
at http://helllabs.org/~claudio/ov511/20000517/) with your favourite "stable"
pre to see if it crashes. You'll need to reconfigure to enable /proc/video
support.
